NEW YORK and SEATTLE (Nov. 20, 2003) -- HBO(R) and RealNetworks(R), Inc. announced the immediate availability of "FATE: the Carnivale Game(TM)," a downloadable Tarot card game inspired by the hit HBO series "Carnivale(SM)." HBO's first licensed downloadable game, "FATE: the Carnivale Game," is being promoted at www.HBO.com and is available for trial and purchase exclusively from the RealOne(R) Arcade game service for $19.99 at www.realonearcade.com/carnivale.

"FATE(TM)" is a unique Tarot card game of strategy and intuition where players match wits against the mysterious Fortune Teller. Players can choose to play as one of three unique carnival characters -- Dogface, Joined Twins or a Tattooed Person. With success comes powerful wildcards, as well as information on the dark past of the character chosen to play. Addictive game play, Tarot lore, and character narratives are all intertwined, inviting players to advance through 12 intense levels.
