Adobe Photoshop 7 Style Layer Effects: Series #4
In series 4 of my Adobe Photoshop 7 Style Layer tutorials, I have created another 3 effects that you can implement into your Style Layers palette to give your designs or text elements a new look in a matter of seconds.
TO INSTALL: Windows users need to unzip the contents into your Program Files>Adobe Photoshop 7.0>Presets>Styles. Macintosh users need to unzip the contents into your Adobe Photoshop 7.0’s Styles directory.
Style effect #1:
In the first example, the phrase “Bad Moon Rising” is created using the Drop Shadow, Inner Shadow, Inner Glow, Inner Bevel, Bevel and Emboss (Contour & Texture), Satin, Gradient Overlay and Stroke. You can change the orange gradient tone by going into the Bevel and Emboss>Highlight Mode option and changing its color. The beige color that the word “Rising” takes can be changed in the Gradient Overlay option.

Style effect #2:
In the second example, the phrase “Wizardry” is created using a variety of blending options. The purple is from the Gradient Option selection. The options used for this design are Drop Shadow, Inner Shadow, Inner Glow, Bevel and Emboss (Contour and Texture), Satin, Gradient Overlay and Stroke. As you can see in the example, the Style Layer worked beautifully in providing the effect for the “stars”. Even though I display my examples using text, the Style Layers work very good on the shapes and elements created using the Custom Shape Tool.
Style effect #3:
In this example, the phrase “Train WRECK” is created using Drop Shadow, Inner Shadow, Inner Glow, Bevel and Emboss (Contour & Texture), Color Overlay, Gradient Overlay, Pattern Overlay, Stroke.
