Entertainment Technology Alliance Announces Speaker and Sessions For ETA Expo 2002

LOS ANGELES (Jan. 24, 2002) -- Entertainment Technology Alliance, an industry organization focused on educating and bringing together the entertainment community with the latest technology, today announced the super session topics and industry executives confirmed to speak at the first annual ETA Expo. ETA Expo, to be held February 22-23, 2002 at the Pasadena Convention Center in Pasadena, California, is a conference and exposition designed to discuss and debate current issues surrounding the convergence of technology and the entertainment industry.

  • Digital Film Tree Case Study, covering the historical and current trajectory of technologies, including Final Cut Pro, FilmLogic, DVCAM and related systems for the motion picture industry;

  • Sundance Online Film Festival Case Study, detailing how the most widely acclaimed film festival successfully built and executed a digital online component; and

  • PDA Wars: Palm vs. Pocket PC, led by industry experts, a product review and discussion on which devices have the best applications for the entertainment industry and who's buying them.
